At Levll, we guarantee cost savings when you switch to a time-of-day rate structure. If you are not satisfied with your Levll system, you may return it within a year for a full refund.

Time-of-day metering increases your electric bill significantly for ~3 hours per day, and reduces it significantly for all other times. This creates a savings opportunity which Levll’s computer exploits by controlling your load during peak times.

The following power companies offer TOU rates to their customers:

Coast EPA has a time-of-use rates and a six month “no rate increase” guarantee. This means that if time-of-use increases your electric rate, for the first six months, you can cancel and the power company will credit you the difference. This is a great TOU option.

What are Time of Use (TOU) rates?

TOU rates are based on the time of day you use electricity and our cost of supplying electricity to you during that time. If you use electricity during off-peak times, your rate will be lower than the standard rate. On-peak hours will cost more than the standard rate.

How does a TOU rate plan lower my bill?

When you shift electric use to off-peak, you can save hundreds of dollars each year. Levll helps you shift these loads automatically, such as thermostat or refrigeration loads.

Are there any sign-up fees associated with TOU rates?

No, there are no initial sign up fees or charges associated with TOU rates. However, the daily service charge for those with TOU rates is slightly higher than the daily service charge for those with standard rates due to the cost of the TOU meter.

What behaviors can I change that will help me make a difference in lowering my electric bill?

  • Levll will automatically time your thermostat and 120V applicances to synchronize with time-of-use plans. Large homes with high electric load may purchase additional monitoring and control accessories.
  • Wash and dry clothes during off-peak times, taking advantage of delay features on modern laundry machines.
  • Move cooking to off-peak hours. Preheat water for coffee before peak times with Levll.
